Clients, family members, care coordinators, dietitians and administrators each needed an appropriate view.
Shopify custom app · Australian care commerce
DigiLynx extended Eat Well Health beyond standard eCommerce with a custom Shopify application connecting nutrition screening, professional review, care-provider approval, invoicing, recurring delivery and Xero.
The challenge
Eat Well Health needed to serve older Australians whose nutrition products could be funded through home-care arrangements. Before an order could proceed, a client’s needs had to be screened, a recommendation reviewed, and the purchase coordinated with the organisation managing the client’s support funding.
Large care providers also needed to manage many clients through multiple staff members. A standard Shopify customer account could not represent the roles, permissions, clinical review, delayed payment and continuing-care workflow involved.
Clients, family members, care coordinators, dietitians and administrators each needed an appropriate view.
Questionnaire results needed to support—not replace—review by qualified nutrition professionals.
Orders required a documented review and approval path before products were supplied.
Provider invoicing and later payment had to coexist with Shopify order and fulfilment operations.
The solution
DigiLynx created the operational layer needed to connect screening, recommendation, approval, commerce, accounting and ongoing support.
Separate accounts, permissions, client allocation and shared visibility.
Guided screening, recommendation logic and dietitian oversight.
Approval, order creation, subscriptions and delivery status.
Provider invoices and accounts-receivable information connected to finance.
Permissions and client assignments separate provider, professional and customer responsibilities.
Assessment logic organizes the pathway while nutrition professionals retain oversight of recommendations.
Approved recommendations become manageable orders, invoices, deliveries and future subscriptions.
Platform experience
The interfaces below are privacy-safe reconstructions of the delivered workflow. All names, organisations, reference numbers and amounts are illustrative.
Provider teams can allocate clients to staff, see progress across the care-commerce journey and identify the next action without relying on disconnected spreadsheets or email chains.
Recommendation reviewed. Contact the nutrition team if circumstances change.
Assessment information, recommended products and professional notes remain connected before the order is submitted for provider approval.
The custom app creates the Shopify order, supports recurring delivery and connects provider invoicing with Xero for the finance workflow.
End-to-end workflow
The platform coordinates activities that would otherwise sit across forms, inboxes, spreadsheets, Shopify and accounting software. Each stage creates the context required by the next participant.
The client and provider relationship is established with the appropriate account access.
A guided questionnaire captures the information needed for the nutrition pathway.
Recommendation logic supports a nutrition professional’s review and adjustment.
The provider assesses the proposed products and authorises the order.
Shopify manages the order and fulfilment while Xero receives the invoice workflow.
Recurring orders can be reviewed, adjusted, paused or cancelled as needs change.
Delivered scope
The result combines customer experience, provider operations, professional oversight, commerce and finance in one tailored system.
Separate experiences for clients, provider staff, nutrition professionals and Eat Well Health administrators.
Questionnaire-driven assessment logic, professional review, adjustment and participant communication.
Approved product plans converted into orders, fulfilment visibility and recurring supply workflows.
Provider-funded invoices connected with accounts-receivable operations and later payment processing.
Organisation-level access, multiple staff members, assigned client portfolios and approval controls.
Nutrition-team communication and future order changes remain available after the first delivery.
